I'm 5'10" and about 150 pounds; very little off-the rack clothing fits me, particularly motorcycle leather. I ride a lot, on the road and on the race track, cruisers to sport bikes; my leathers need to be comfortable and protective. A trip to Vanson is a pilgrimage worth making- getting measured by an expert ensures a perfect fit, and the shop itself is a voyage back in time, creaking wooden floors and all. If you do buy Vanson off-the-rack, online or on eBay, keep in mind that Vanson's sizes are VERY traditional-no vanity sizing here! I may be an 8T in Ann Taylor, but I'm a solid 10-12 in Vanson, and the arms are still waaay too short. When I had my last jacket made, I'm told the pattern maker started with their size 12 and added about 4" to the body and something less to the arms. The front seams go exactly over the center of my breasts, and I recall being amused when the nipple-to-nipple distance was measured. I will be heading down to Vanson in a few weeks to be measured for a new one-piece road racing suit. I will spend close to $2000, and wait four months, but I will expect to get at least ten years (and multiple crashes) out of this suit. The every day riding leathers I had made last year I fully expect to outlast me; my old ones are thirty years old and still going strong. Vanson's are completely repairable and alterable in either direction later.

I'm a mom of hip, thin, teenagers, and an order from Bonobo was the very first time I found clothes that actually fit. I got a couple pair of pants and a nice trim shirt shirt, (with long enough sleeves!) for a great prices, made in the good ole US of A, and the service was over-the-top excellent. Slim fit for real slim guys, and legs long enough to cover the ankles. Very hip stuff, very good material; fine workmanship. I also bought pants for my more traditionally h/w proportioned kid, and he and I were very happy with what we got at the price I paid. This place was the perfect fusion of hip and preppy, business and pleasure. Fast shipping for free, and a human in customer service! I will order from nowhere else.

JCPenney used to be my go-to place when shopping for clothing to fit the tall men (6'6" husband and 6'3" son) in the my life. Lately, however, they seem to have eliminated the size ranges of tall-but-not-big. There seems to be no x-tall anymore at all. I ordered a topcoat for my husband in a 44long, and the sleeves were 2inches too short and it barely fit around him on top of his clothes (his old 44xlong still fits fine). My son wears size LT and I can never find smaller than XLT. In spite of this, JCPenney always comes up when I search for mens tall clothing. Where can I find LT and XLXT without spending a fortune?
